On Thursday 16th May, six BTEC Level 3 Health & Social Care students visited Wimbledon Ambulance Station accompanied by college Senior Pastoral Tutor, Dev Kanagasundaram and his former colleague Chris Hutchinson, who had previously worked as a Paramedic in the London Ambulance Service for 28 years.
The students were given talks by ex and current London Ambulance Service (LAS) staff about their roles, pathways into the LAS, day-to-day duties and challenges they may face, etc. There were questions and answers throughout their tour including in the back of an ambulance with Clinical Team Manager, Rob Morgan.
