Emotional wellbeing is just as important as a child's mental health, therefore it is important for those working with children and young people to have a good understanding of the concepts, risk factors and impact of mental health.

Entry Requirements
You need to have lived in the EU for three years and be aged 19+. You will need to be confident with written English in order to meet the required standards. -
Course Content
This distance learning programme will enable you to further your personal and professional development and gain new knowledge and understanding.This course will cover the following:
- Unit 1 - Understand Children and Young People's Mental Health in Context
- Unit 2 - Understand Factors which may Affect Children and Young People's Mental Health
- Unit 3 - Understand Children and Young People's Mental Health Concerns
- Unit 4 - Understand the Impact of Children and Young People's Mental Health Concerns
- Unit 5 - Understand how to Support Children and Young People with Mental Health Concerns

Course Structure
This course is fully funded, meaning there is no cost to you.On completion you will gain a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification.
You can learn at a time that suits you without the need to attend college.
The course is totally flexible so you can start whenever you wish.
The course will be completed online and takes approx. 8 weeks to complete.
You are welcome to take more than one course but you can only take one course at a time.
