Ms McDonagh spoke with students from our Aurora Centre, a specialist, non-residential FE centre for young adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities who may have Autism, behaviours of concern or complex support needs. She also visited Taste, based in our hospitality and catering academy, and chatted with some of our students there about the impact the pandemic is having on their lives.

Ms McDonagh said: "It was great to meet staff and students at Merton College and to learn about the hardwork that has been done to keep everyone safe at this very difficult time. Colleges, like Merton, do a great but often unrecognised job of educating and preparing some of our most disadvantaged young people for the world of work."
