The world is literally at the feet of former BTEC Aeronautical student, Ishan Patel, who not only achieved D*D*D* with us (the equivalent of 3A*s at A Level), but one year after leaving Kingston College, has passed his Commercial Pilot Licence.

Ishan credits his meteoric rise to the support he received whilst studying Kingston College from 2016-2018. He says: “Kingston College was an amazing place to study and a great lead towards the beginning of my aviation career. The teachers are very passionate and supportive providing excellent support and advice for their students. I would also like to thank the aero team specifically for pushing me to achieve what I needed to complete the dream of becoming a commercial pilot which I am now able to pursue.

“The course offered at the College is highly recommended if you have considered a future career in the aviation sector whether you wish to become a pilot, engineer or take up one of the other range of roles offered by the industry. Kingston College will provide the support you to need to reach and exceed your future goals.”

Ishan’s former tutor, Tony Ball, said: “Ishan finished the Level 3 BTEC Aeronautical diploma in July 2018 and in just over one year has gained his basic commercial pilot licence. He is very lucky to be sponsored by his family but has achieved this incredible result in spite of Covid 19 and all the restrictions it has inflicted. He has credited his two year aeronautical course at Kingston College for enabling him to achieve such rapid progress and needless to say, the Aero team are feeling very proud of him.”
